The Athlete Career Programme provides eligible athletes with job placement, career counseling and transitional support, access to skills training and educational guidance. The purpose of the programme is to support the integration of athletes into the workplace both during and after their sporting career without compromising the athletes' sporting objectives.


3. How much does the Athlete Career Programme cost?

The Athlete Career Programme is offered at no cost to elite athletes as part of the Adecco Group's worldwide Corporate Social Responsibility Programme.


4. How do I know if I am eligible for the Athlete Career Programme?

The Athlete Career Programme is available to all elite athletes who are training for or who have participated in the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games & SEA Games.


5. How do I register for the Athlete Career Programme?

Complete and submit the form under the Registration section of this website. The form will then be sent to the Singapore National Olympic Committee and Adecco.


6. What happens after I register?

Once your application has been received and processed, an Adecco ACP personnel will contact you for an appointment to discuss your career requirements and entry level to the programme.


7. Will there be jobs to suit my training schedule?

In most cases, yes. Adecco branches offer a range of temporary and part-time placement services as well as full-time placement services that in most cases can fit in with an athlete's training schedule.


8. After registering with Adecco, how long will it take before I actually get a job or an assignment?

The time it takes to get an assignment for employment depends on the types of roles you are seeking, your associated skill level for these roles, and your availability due to training commitments. It will also depend on the skills needed by our clients.


9. Can Adecco guarantee me a job?

The Athlete Career Program is a programme to assist in job search and while Adecco will use every resource available to find suitable employment, placement is not guaranteed.


10. What types of employment can Adecco offer to me?

11. I am still a student. How will I benefit from ACP?

As an elite athlete, you may not have the opportunity to take up temporary assignments or internship programs in the corporate environment. Such opportunities will give you a glimpse to the working world and allow you to make a more discerned decision on your career path after sports.

As such, Adecco have partnered with some of our Fortune 500 clients to provide mentoring support to the young athletes in careers which they are interested in. This mentoring programme can last from hours to weeks, depending on the schedule of the athletes and the clients.
