Job Responsibilities |
• Accountable and responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations within the plant are safe, and that equipment are working efficiently by having a ‘hands-on’ management of the operations
• Lead plant’s Environment, Health & Safety programs and ensure that all plant facilities and practices comply with local and corporate environmental, health and safety requirements and achieve Company’s objectives
• Responsible for the budgeting and control of operating costs, both direct and indirect, and for the implementation and control of the approved budget
• Organize, coach and manage staff within the plant and work with functional groups to ensure that day-to-day operational issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with major key customers as well as ensure the achievement of all customer and company requirements including quality, cost, delivery, product performance and customer satisfaction
• Responsible for continuous improvement in operating cost efficiency of the staff, process, equipment and facility
• Oversee company industrial relations and effective utilization and development of staff
• Plan and implement future manufacturing expansion and improvements to support the market plan
Job Requirements |
• Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Good spoken and written communication skills in English
• Minimum 7 years’ experience, including at least 3 years at a supervisory/managerial level in a US or European multinational company and with knowledge of a variety of manufacturing activities
• Good leadership experience with proven coaching and mentoring skills
• Energetic and enthusiastic with the capacity to apply extra effort when occasions demand and willing to work long hours
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently and interact with people at all levels within and outside the company
• Mature and able to work well under pressure in a team environment
• Good organizational ability, broad-based business skills and perspectives with demonstrated high level problem-solving skills
